With all the repacks I bust, I naturally have quite a few extras and dupes that come out of them. Some get used as filler/extra cards when I send out mailers/trade packages. Some go to COMC.
But most end up here.
I put the cards into groups of about 60-65 each, then put them into team bags, and donate them. I try to keep a similar breakdown in content for each bag. They're pretty popular among the children there, who love to trade them with each other.
Since a lot of the children there are when their parents are escaping abusive situations, I take the time to remove Slava Voynov/Ray Rice types from the packages. Other than that, pretty much anything goes.

I'll let other people bust these Archives Signature Series, if it let's me pick up a HOFer auto for my Jays collection.
I checked your shelter link. That's a good thing you're doing. I usually give away 200 count boxes to all kids at little league, even if they are just there to support a player. Perhaps I need to branch out a bit.
ReplyDeleteLove that Cox autograph! I picked up one of his Archives buyback autographs last year. I might need to see if I can find a copy of this card. I really like adding new 1986 Topps signed baseball cards to my collection.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say that it's totally awesome that you send some spare cardboard there, go Douglas! Also that Bobby Cox is sweet, those Archives Signatures releases are goldmines for decently-priced on-card autos. Great grab!
