Let's keep digging through the third pack of the box of this entertaining product.
Jeff Montgomery - The first card is one the made me say "Wow. He's got a card in this. Awesome!"
Rusty Greer - As with the second.
Steve Finley - And the third. Back to back to back 'WOW' cards.
Dwight Gooden - I really should hold off on posting every card. But it was nice to see a Met.
Reggie Jackson - And Reggie is in the set as a Yankee in addition to an Athletic.
Joe Carter - Curtain Call - The Curtain Call series highlights moments from the player's history. Surprisingly, it doesn't highlight his walk-off in 1992, but his passing of George Bell in all-time Jays home runs. Some guy named Delgado has moved into first overall since then. In retrospect, it wasn't too surprising. since he really didn't get a chance to top his cap in that game.
Dustin Pedroia - Sportdiscs - Another one of the Sportdiscs.
Rickey Henderson - Nicknames - I probably won't build any of the subsets for this, but I can see myself looking to grab the Joey Bats and Dr. K inserts from this subset. They're really unique looking, and work nicely without the license.
Tom Seaver - As a member of the White Sox. Surprising, but there do seem to be some interesting choices for team listings. And yes, I've scanned and posted an image for each card. Time to stop that.
Alan Trammell
Kevin Mitchell
Shawon Dunston - And this is the 4th guy in the set that I am so surprised to see getting a card in a base set in 2013. I'm waiting on a redemption from Shawon Jr from my previous group break. Hey, Shawon, if you see this, tell your sun to get on his horse and sign his cards!
Bernie Williams
Jordan Zimmerman
Ken Griffey Jr
Lee Mazzilli - Another Met.
Ernie Banks - While there are some cards of retired players who you really don't see cards of, here's one of someone you do. This might be my favourite photo so far where I don't really care about the lack of a logo.
Joe Mauer
Ichiro- Considering his lack of Topps cards, it was surprising to see Ichiro in this. Seeing him listed as a Mariner is mind-blowing. If you needed an Ichiro card from this season, you had to go to Panini for your fix.
Ryan Howard
Dale Murphy
Eric Hosmer
Jorge Posada - Even though he is a Yankee, and he's recently retired so as to not make recent cards of his a rarity, seeing Posada is nice.
Robin Yount
3 packs down with 9 left to go. What a fun, fun box this has been.
Like the product, don't get me wrong, but I don't know about putting guys from the junk wax era in the set. I'm still not over pulling all the Montgomery cards I pulled in '92.
