2021 Adventures in Repacks Part 34.1 - Cubism

Time to get caught up on the last of the repacks I order this past winter, and go through 250 cards, divided into 5 stacks from this cube. There's usually a hit or 3 contained within, along with a whole bunch of randomness. Let's  dig in!

2019 Contenders - Mike Evans - We're off.
2018 Prestige - Danny Amendola
2019 Illusions - Stefon Diggs
2006 Topps - Larry Johnson
2007 Classics - Chester Taylor
2000 Paramount - Anthony Lucas - Anthony's rocking the proud colours of the "We don't have a license for the NCAA Fightin' Footballers".
2003 SP Authentic - Ray Lewis
2006 Topps - Javon Walker
2002 Showcase - Joe Horn - Such a nice design for these framed showcase design from this year, across all sports.
2000 Rookies & Stars - Marshall Faulk
2000 SPA - Mike Alstott - This might be the most background ever shown on a base card from SPA.
2000 Paramount - Todd Husak
2004 Topps - Cedrick Wilson
2007 Bowman Chrome - Michael Griffin
2002 Bowman - Bill Schroeder
2004 Topps All Time Favorites - Kevin Greene - Saluting a design from that era is as close as we've gotten to anything from the junk wax era so far.
2015 Donruss - Marshawn Lynch - Donruss went back-to-back with great, colourful designs for their football releases in '15 and '16.
2014 Certified - Kendall Wright
2017 Donruss - Danny Amendola
2015 Platinum - Russell Wilson - If you're gonna wipe the background, you might as well work the team logo in.
2018 Classics - Ty Law
1991 UD - Herman Moore - Finally! The early 90s!
1992 Ultimate WLAF - Ohio Glory - And it brings me my first card featuring this one-and-done WLAF team.
1991 Pro Set - Mark Bortz
1993 UD - Thurman Thomas - Bills content!
1989 Pro Set - Delton Hall - I love the shadow on this photo.
1999 Skybox Premium - Ty Detmer
2019 Contenders - Pat Tillman - Interestingly, the write-up on the back doesn't mention anything about his military service, something that would answer the question of "Who is this guy?" that an unaware modern fan might ask if they came across this base card.
1998 Collector's Edge - Ki-Jana Carter
1992 UD - John Taylor
2012 Gridiron - Chris Johnson - Gridiron might be as close as things get to a Stadium Club football release - where photography is the highlight.
2003 Classics - Ray Lewis
2002 Certified - Michael Strahan
2000 SPA - Charlie Batch
2002 Absolute - Antonio Freeman - Using the player's number in the background? Also acceptable.
2000 MVP - Tim Brown
1990 Topps - Kevin Haverdink - Settle down, Beavis.
1991 Stad. Club - Mike Kenn
1990 Pro Set - Vai Sikahema
1991 UD - Brett Perriman
1991 Pacific - Cedrick Mack
2002 R&S - Deuce McAllister - Not the most flattering photo - he looks like he's trying not to fumble.
1991 Ultra - Dennis Gentry
1989 Pro Set - Kevin Brooks
2001 Game Time - Kevin Harrison - This giant player is stalking me!
2007 Threads- Daunte Culpepper
2011 Triple Threads /999 - Stevie Johnson - Bills content! On a numbered card nonetheless.
2003 SPA - Jamal Lewis - And here's the end of the first 1/5. You really can't tell from the scan, but there's the text 'SP Authentic" appearing repeatedly in slightly raised lettering behind the image. Kinda busy, and very repetitive.

There you have it!

  1. Had no idea there was an Ohio team in the WLAF…let alone cards of that team!

  2. Plenty of good players. 16 or so.
