2017 Adventures in Repacks - Part 1: It is about Time

Almost two weeks into the year and no repack posts? Time to remedy that with a couple of Dollarama hangers.

Repack #1:

2012 National Hockey Card Day USA - Pekka Rinne - Opening with one of the visible cards, which is on my way to my mask collection. Pekka Rinne sports an appropriate theme for Music City.

1991 Seventh Inning Sketch - These cards really weren't known for having interesting photos, but here's a rare one.
1989 OPC - Scott Young
1992 Ultra - Claude LaPointe

1992 Classic - Gilbert Dionne - WOO-HOO! A Rangers alum!

2010 Score - Radim Vrbata - With the positioning of the legs, the stick, and the logo in the background, this creates an interesting look for the lower half of the card. It is a simple photo that gets more interesting the more you look at it. I'm not sure if this was intentional when the photo was selected or not, and am not sure if it would be better had it been either intentional or not.

2009 Ultra - JS Giguere - I always like getting new cards with his double-duck mask.

1997 UD - Glen Murray - Rare to get back-to-back cards from the same set in one of these repacks, especially when it is one you don't see much of in these.

2016 OPC - Jeff Skinner - Starting off this one with a very recent card of a Rangers alum.
1990 Bowman - Kjell Samuelsson
1995 Parkhurst - Trevor Linden

1995 SP - Scott Stevens - And the second alum of this particular repack.
1995 Topps - Luke Richardson

2003 ITG Action - Oleg Kvasha - The back of this card mentions he was part of the Luongo trade.
2008 UD - Shawn Horcoff

1991 OPC - Islanders team - You might see a photo like this nowadays on regular base cards.
1991 Score - Mike Lalor

2010 Score - Mikkel Boedker - I guess there was a deal on 2010 Score Coyotes cards that the repack folks took advantage of. Either way, here's alum #3.
1993 Ultra - Stephane Richer
1991 Score - Rod Brind'amour

1994 Classic - Eric Lacroix - A minor league card of a guy who managed a pretty good run in the NHL.

1994 Classic - Jere Lehtinen - And another one.

2011 UD - Shawn Thornton - Ending with one of the great photos on recent base cards.

Pretty good stuff for $2.
