One Card Only: A Real Icebreaker

I've got a quick return to my most-recent COMC box and an auto I'd been planning to add for a bit.

With his recent induction into the Hall of Fame, more autographs from the breaker of hockey's colour barrier have hit the secondary market. So, I naturally went for one of his first autographs ever on the market, going all the way back to 1997-98 Beehive. This entire set consists of 5*7 cards, so this really feels more like an autographed photo than a card. Thankfully, COMC shipped this in an appropriately-sized top loader, so it got here in good condition. And I've now got an O'Ree auto!

There you have it!

One Card Only: No fingers left

If my Celtics collection has an autograph of the man with the most NBA Championship rings, I might as well add the man with the second most rings, and the only other man with double-digits.
It is a sticker-graph, but it is entirely on the sticker, and its legibility would also make Sam a contender for the penmanship binder.

There you have it!

One Card Only: But Two Patches

I landed the Capitals in a random of Premier a few weeks ago. While I also got a base card of Ovie along with a base card and swatch from Madison Bowey, this is the easiest keeper I've landed in a bit. That's obviously a piece of the shoulder patch for Ovechkin, but I'm not to certain about Kuznetsov. A piece of the number perhaps?

Still, it goes nicely with the auto I've had of Ovie for a bit.

One Card Only: Black Fri-Ray

The Black Friday promotional release seems like an odd place to find an autograph of a CFL quarterback, and certain HOFer, but I won't complain about it and add it to my collection of CFL hits. I'm not sure why Panini did this, but maybe they were making a go at a CFL license, only to lose out to Upper Deck. This is from 2014, and UD started in 2015, so this is as good a guess as any.

One Card Only: The Parkhurst Follow-up

Why not follow up the Parkhurst break with one more on-card autograph of a retired player from a defunct team?
And there's my first Kansas City Scouts auto!

One Card Only: Slowing down the Train

After working my way through a 250 card repack, it only makes sense to slow things down for a couple days. Hence, three cards yesterday, and just one today.
Plus, what card can compete with a Choo Freeman?

One Card Only: Close Enough

If I take my glasses off, I can count it as a new Mookie Wilson card for the collection.

One Card Only: Minimalism

His Raptors career was as brief as his signature, playing in about 10 minutes over 4 games. But that's still 10 minutes more than I!

One Card Only: Name Game

Sometimes, there are days you just have to post a card of a guy named Putt Choate.

Especially when it has been in your "to-be-posted" folder since May.

One Card Only: Stats on the Back

At least I think those are his stats.
But at least I now have an acetate card commemorating Jose's time in Tampa.

One Card Only: Lest We Forget

Just an appropriate card for 11/11. Cards like this mean even more to me after my battlefield tour this past spring.

One Card Only: Pucking Nice!

I landed this a couple months back in a group break, and am finally getting around to scanning it and showing it off. On "thing" autographs are always fun, and they're especially nice when they feature ink from a HOFer.

One Card Only: Inspired by Les Nessman

I suppose I should get caught up on the mailbag, but I was just in the mood to show off this Chai Chai Rodreegweez auto.
