One Card Only: A Famous First

Yesterday featured a couple of hits that were cheap because they were available through epacks, While this one was not cheap, it also wasn't close to the price of most of her autos. Manon was a lot of firsts in hockey as she crossed over into the men's side of things. That looks like the helmet she sported during her Tampa Bay tryout in the photo, but it is blocked on this card by her autograph. Great penmanship as well, and looking at the rest of the checklist, it does confirm my bias that women have more legible signatures than the men.

I'm not sure if this will end up in my penmanship or my hockey hits collection, but it will have a good home.

  1. Great auto/nice looking card. Still have some of her cards from back in the day.

  2. Wow. I've seen more Manon posts the past few weeks than I have over the past decade. It's awesome! Hope to see a few more.

P.S. She does have a great looking signature!

  4. I thought I was gonna win a very cheap copy of this card a few weeks ago, but the bidding went bonkers in the final seconds and it ended up selling for more than they usually do. The only good thing is, there's more than one copy out there, so hopefully I'll be able to get a cheap one sooner than later.
