2013 Score - Andy Greene
1991 Ultimate Original 6 - Vic Hadfield
1994 Classic - Aaron Israel - My first HAAAAAAVAAAAAHD card!
1994 Classic Draft Day - Radek Bonk
1991 Classic - Andrew Verner
2003 Parkhurst - Aki Berg
2004 Franchises - Glenn Hall
2004 H&P - Alex Bourret - The MAINEiacs is one of my favourite defunct team names.

2006 ITG - Charline Labonte - Another card for the ladies.
2004 Franchises - Grant Fuhr - Grant's memorable 14 game stint with the Kings gets honoured!
1993 Leaf - Brad Dalgarno - As always, here's the 93 Leaf back.
1989 OPC - Dan Daoust
1991 Score - San Jose Sharks - Meet the original Sharks!
1993 Premier - Roman Hamrlik
1990 Score-  Claude Loiselle

2020 Adventures in Repacks: Part 33.2 - A Hundred Hockey Hanger

2013 Score Gold - James Neal - Let's open this portion up with a parallel.
2012 GTS - John Tavares - These GTS/Universal cards seem to be the precursor to Overtime cards.
1993 Classic - Jon Hillebrandt
2009 H&P - Brandon Maxwell - Rangers alum!
1992 Classic - Cale Hulse
2009 1972 TYIH - Marcel Dionne - Gotta scan one of these!
2006 ITG - Megan Agosta - Some content from the distaff side.
2004 Franchises - Dennis Hull - He's probably the least well-known of the hockey Hulls, but was still a very solid player.
2003 Parkhurst - Walt Tkaczuk - Another Rangers alum.
2000 ITG - Krzysztof Oliwa - That's one way of showing that a player will represent an expansion team in the 2000 season. Maybe a little smaller logo on the back would be less...loud?
2009 Franchises - Jesse Blacker
2002 ITG - Mikael Tellqvist - If this emerald parallel had a serial number, it would be /10. It doesn't.

2004 Franchises - Larry Murphy - This repack had a good selection of Franchises, Going for the Gold and 1972 TYIH cards. I approve.
1990 Score - Ed Olczyk
1991 Score - Randy Carlyle
1990 Pro Set - Zarley Zalapski
1991 Score - Gord Murphy
1993 Ultra - Kevin Dineen
1993 Leaf - Terry Yake - Gotta scan the back of one of these!
1992 UD - Trevor/Jamie Linden
1994 Score - Wendel Clark
1991 7IS - Craig Fraser
1993 Premier - Steve Larmer - A strange photo choice, since if you didn't know Larmer's jersey number, he could be either Hawk in the picture.
1991 UD - Brian McReynolds
1992 Stad. Club - Gerald Diduck - And that's that.

A nice half to start off. Even the junk wax era stuff came through yesterday with a Gretzky and a new 2/14 card. And lots of Franchises/TYIH as well! Fun!

2020 Adventures in Repacks: Part 33.1 - A Hundred Hockey Hanger

I often bust the 80 card version(s) of these. How do the 100 card versions compare? Let's see what this one contains. As I do with the other 100s, I'm doing these in 4 posts of 25 cards each.

2017 UD - Brady Skjei - We are underway with visible card #1, and a last name made famous through a Saturday Night Live sketch.
2018 UD - Frans Nielsen
2017 SPA - Phil Kessel
2016 UD - PA Parenteau
2001 Crown Royale - Claude Lemieux - I completely forgot about his stint with the 'yotes. And he spent parts of 3 seasons there.
2004 Franchises - Kelly Kisio - All of these beauties are getting scanned.
2009 H&P - Tuukka Rask - Anyone wanna swap this for an Andrew Raycroft?
2009 1972 TYIH - Andre Boudrias - See what I wrote about the Kisio,
2007 H&P - Bob Sanguinetti
2004 SPA - Bill Guerin - Oh yes, the Mooterus.
2003 Portraits - Dany Heatley
1990 Bowman - Dave Lowry - How is one of these a need for my 2/14 collection?
1990 Bowman - John Vanbiesbrouck
1990 Bowman - Dave Thomlinson
1993 Parkhurst Emerald - Shaun Van Allen
1991 UD - Keith Tkachuk
1991 Parkhurst - Rob Brown
1992 Pinnacle - Brian Bradley
1990 Score - Larry Murphy
1989 OPC - Dave Ellett

1993 Parkhurst Emerald - Jamie Storr - - There's quite a few of these emeralds as well in this. While I don't rank them on par with Franchises or TYIH, I should at least scan one of 'em.
1991 UD - Brian Rolston
1990 Score - Wayne Gretzky - Gotta show off a Gretzky!
1990 Score - Kevin McClelland
1991 Bowman - Adrien Plavsic - And that's the opening quarter.

Bills! Bills! Bills!

With the season just days away, it is a perfect time to highlight some new Bills cards in the binders, whether they originated from COMC or from some group breaks.

I'll start with the COMC stuff and a nice, inexpensive parallel of the face of the franchise through the late 00s and early 10s. They were ghastly throughout that period, but at least when Fred Jackson touched the ball you could picture something exciting happening.
I'm guessing there's a reason that they don't do rookie premiere photoshoots at amusement parks anymore. Actually, I'm assuming there's many.
I was at both these games. Might as well get a couple cards to commemorate the occasions.
Switching to group breaks, here's the veteran base team set out of Elite.
I didn't get any of the rookie base cards from the Elite break, but I was luckier when it came to inserts, with these three playing card themed inserts. I sorta hoped that these would be a buildable deck of playing cards, like O-Pee-Chee does with hockey. Alas, they were dashed when I realized that there were no 11 of Bulldogs cards in a real deck. Or a 27 of Bills.
One more insert from Elite.

The first auto of this post is from Elite. It is initials only, but at least there is a bit of style to the G, and both letters are legible, which probably places it in the upper half in terms of sig. quality from the 2020 rookie class.
Here's as high-end as this post gets - some cards out of Gold Standard. Hodgins was a 6th rounder in the draft, but he's on the roster for the season.

Here's a pair of swatches, neither of which match the uniforms the players are pictured in.
And now Panini is breaking down by player whether or not the swatches are from an actual game.

No need to specify that these swatches were not game worn. But here's my first auto of rookie QB and elite white person Jake Fromm. He's on the main roster as well, behind Josh Allen and Matt Barkley. But with COVID-19 lurking, I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the field at some point.

And there you have it!

PWE Chronicles

Today, it is a PWE that arrived from Kerry @ Cards on Cards a few weeks back.

There was but a single baseball card in the envelope, but this does make its way to my 2/14 collection as the 28th Dave Dravecky card in it. This is the glossy parallel to the regular '87 Fleer Update which I already had.

Rip Hamilton move to 73 cards with this new addition to the binders. He maintains a 30 card lead over the second place Gheorghe Muresan.

We are going right back to the expansion draft with these cards. They're both listed with the Raptors, but neither one played a game for the team. Kersey was merely waived. Tyler fell asleep with an ice pack on his ankle, suffered permanent nerve damage as a result and was forced to retire.

Here's the rest of the Raptors content to wrap the envelope up. As a bonus, you get a Vancouver Grizzlies cameo with the Salley card! WOO-HOO!

Prestigious!

Let's see what this Prestige pack from Wally World contains!

I usually scan the first card out, and this is the first one out of this pack. The design. The field-level photograph seem to be just what you'd expect from Prestige.

Bills content! Given that Foster didn't really see much action in 2019, I wasn't expecting to see him in 2020 products. But I won't complain about any new card for the Bills binder.

Speaking of unexpected, most of the veteran guys in the base set have likely seen dozens of cards and hundreds of parallels by now.  I always love the appearances of guys without a significant cardboard history, such as Okwara, who only made a previous appearance in 2019 Unparalleled.

Here's a 4-pack of rookies. A couple decent names here with a pair of first rounders in Henry Ruggs and Jordan Love. They have their teams listed, but we are still waiting for photoshoot or training camp photos for new uniforms (or at least helmets). Alas, since Jordan Love has yet to lead the Pack to a Super Bowl, I can't break out the Giant Spider Invasion clips.

The promised green parallels. Given the colouring, there is no way that Justin Herbert can't be making its way to Kerry form Cards on Cards in a future mailer, while I'll be recapping a PWE from Oregon in the next post.

And finally, the inserts. I like the concept of the Worldwide set, but if you were not told that this was from a game played in London, you really wouldn't know. So, the Old School of Renfro gets the nod here.

There you have it!
