It's Gary Lockwood!
He's got a pair of MST3Ked roles under his belt. He was George in The Magic Sword, and in terms of screen time, was the star of the movie. But, since they had Basil Rathbone and Estelle Winwood available, they were listed as the stars. The movie was one of the better ones featured on the show, and even the MST3K crew admitted it was "actually pretty good". They'd make up for its quality later in season 4, with Manos, Attack of the The Eye Creatures and Monster a Go-Go being forced upon the SOL crew.
Gary was also in 'Kitten With a Whip' in an uncredited role. Not as said kitten, which was Ann Margaret.
But there you have it!
The same guy who was in Star Trek and 2001? Very cool!
ReplyDeleteHis face looks familiar, so I looked him up. He was in a lot of tv shows back in the 70's and 80's, so I'm sure I saw him at some point.
