Another bunch of football cards for this Friday.
2006 Sweet Spot - Mark Clayton - And we are off!
1990 Pro Set - Brian Blades
1995 Stad. Club - Courtney Hawkins - I feel like having a Creamsicle!
1990 Pro Set - Bart Oates
1989 Topps Traded - Marion Butts - If you think I'd pass on scanning a card of a guy named Butts, you don't know me.
2002 Elite - Isaac Bruce
1991 Pro Set - Ken Norton
1991 Pro Set - Luis Sharpe
1990 Pro Set - Jim Everett
1986 Topps - Nat Moore - The oldest card in this portion of the repack.
2001 Ultra - Muhsin Muhammad - Another great, simple Ultra design.
1989 Topps - Frank Minnifield
1992 Pinnacle - Stephen Baker
1990 Pro Set - Norm Johnson - A kicker card! And a pretty great photo choice as well.
1991 Score - Floyd Dixon
1993 Bowman - Darryl Talley - Bills content!
1989 Pro Set - Randall Cunningham
1990 Pro Set - Ron Hallstrom
1990 Pro Set - Johnny Hector
1994 Skybox - Eric Green - This might be the yellowest card ever issued outside of 1991 Fleer.
2006 Topps - Dennis Northcutt
1989 Pro Set - Dave Krieg
1989 Pro Set - Super Bowl Logo XIV
1991 UD - Aaron Craver
1995 Classic Pro Line Autographs - Craig Heyward - Here's the first hit of the repack! And it is a pretty cool one! Ironhead! What's with this thingy?
1995 Action Packed - Michael Haynes
1995 Action Packed - Marshall Faulk
1995 Action Packed - Jeff Blake - If I'm getting three cards from the same set, getting them from Action packed takes the pain of repetition away.
1995 Topps - Michael Irvin
1992 UD - Reggie White
1990 Score - Roger Vick
1990 Pro Set - Sterling Sharpe
2001 Topps - Trent Dilfer
1993 UD - Trace Armstrong
1990 Pro Set - Ron Hallstrom
1989 Pro Set - Mike Merriweather
1990 Pro Set - Steve Atwater - Sure, it was overproduced. But there still were some decent photos lurking within.
1992 Pinnacle - Vinny Testaverde
1989 Pro Set - Tom Rathman
1991 UD - Aaron Craver - Yup, two of'em. In addition to the two more 1990 Ron Hallstroms.
1989 Topps Traded - Jeff Cross
1993 Playoff - Ricky Proehl
1990 Topps - Doug Smith
1991 Topps - Martin Mayhew - From the time period where if it worked for one design, you might as well use it for your other releases as well.
1991 UD - Michael Young
1991 Pro Set - Michael Carter
1991 Platinum - Bruce Smith - Bills content!
1998 Choice - Ki-Jana Carter
1990 Pro Set - Mike Tomczak
2012 Score - Scott Chandler - Bills content!
1990 Pro Set - Don Majikowski
1999 Tradition - Ken Dilger - While I can get behind an insert set of obscure players, Dilger, with over 100 cards prior to this issue, probably doesn't count as unsung.
1991 Pacific - Earnest Byner
1990 Pro Set - Gary Anderson - Kicker content!
1991 Fleer - Thurman Thomas - Bills content!
1989 Pro Set - John Frank
2010 Topps - Michael Crabtree
1991 Platinum - Bo Jackson - I guess I'm of the right age for Bo Jackson to still be a great pull.
2016 Score - Jarvis Landry
2015 Score - Cameron Wake
2015 Prizm Draft - Da'Ron Brown - Nice logo, at least.
1990 Score - Reggie White
1989 Topps - Jerry Rice
1991 Pro Set - Jeff Bryant
1989 Topps Traded - Keith Bishop
1995 Flair - Jake Reed - Somewhat of a high end set for the time makes an appearance.
1989 Pro Set - Mark Collins
1989 Pro Set - Tom Rathman - Yup, two of these as well.
1989 Pro Set - Jay Hilgenberg
1990 Topps - Leslie O'Neal
2004 Finite - Kyle Boller - Start on a Ravens card, end on a Ravens card. A perfect sandwich.
Halfway there!

Mailbag: Wes' Grand Finale - Post #1
All around the blogosphere, people are posting their recaps of the loot from Wes (jaybarkerfan) and his last hurrah of busting wax. It is time for me to do the same. The goodies were extensive in the container, so much so I imagine it will take at least 4 posts to recap everything. I need to start somewhere, so today, it is the football content.
Bills! Bills! Bills! An excuse to break out the Bruuuce label is a great way to start off a post. McCoy is still a Bill for now, but might be cut for salary cap reasons, or general scumbaggery.
Here's a handful of numbered Bills cards as well.
Here's the first football relic of the post. Zay had an interesting off-season last year, but recovered enough to lead the team in receiving TDs.
Finally, a somewhat odd relic. As a linebacker, Preston probably didn't touch the football on the date in question (and I'm not looking up a 4.5 year old preseason game to find out), but this is still pretty cool with it being tied to a specific game. To be more accurate, this is a 2016 Panini Day - Game Dated Materials Cracked Ice card. Preston is now with the Bengals.
I'd also hooked Wes up with some CFL content. Here's some numbered cards out of 2018 Upper Deck. I busted a lot of this, and each pack contained either a numbered card (150, 50 or 15) or a hit. Buckley is the interesting one in this group, as QBs out of Canadian universities rarely make CFL teams in that position. He retired in the previous off-season to go to med school.
Speaking of hits, here's two of them from this. Both of these guys have signed with NFL teams this offseason, with Thurman going to the Bears and Spencer to the Steelers. If I didn't group all my cards from this set together in a single binder, Thurman would be an easy addition to the penmanship collection.
And we head back in time for even more CFL to end the post. Crandell had a decent CFL career, leading Calgary to the 2001 Grey Cup title and has moved on to a coaching career in both the CFL and university ranks. Calvillo is just professional football's all-time yardage leader. No big deal.
And there's one post from this. As I stated earlier, there will be at least 3 more.

Bills! Bills! Bills!
Whether it was from my COMC box, or in-person pick-ups, I've got a nice collection of Bills cards to show off.
Bruce Smith is always a good way to start off a post, and it is nicer when it is an appearanceof Collector's Choice, and that's enhanced even more with it being a Players Club parallel.
3 Bills. One card.
Patrick DiMarco didn't get an actual card where he's pictured as a Bill, but the logo is there, and that's close enough. This obnoxiously gaudy card is from Unparalleled. Since this seems to be his cardboard debut, this is listed as his rookie card by Panini. 2017 was his 6th season in the league.
At least this card is from the guy's rookie season. Yao Yihno...Matt Milano had a fumble land right in his hands last season for a touchdown.
Here are some more draft pick cards, fast forwarding to this season. Harrison was a third round pick, while Ray-Ray went to the Bills-Bills in the 6th round.
I have been sending a lot of cards from Panini's Boxing Day releases to my trade partners. It is only fitting that I kept a couple for myself. This was one.
There's still room for Bills cards from last year's releases. I usually grab the cheapest one, and in a rarity, the NFL level auto was cheaper than his NCAA cards.
Numbered Freddie! He was the highlight on some really questionable Bills teams, and even picked up a 1000-yard rushing season in 2009. He also picked 1000 yards on kick returns that year, becoming the first NFLer ever to make that 1K combination. Not bad for an undrafted player.
And that deserves some material for my Bills hit binder. And some ink! This card is number /20 (4/20! HYUK!) because it is a 20th anniversary (of Absolute) parallel.
It is a close tie between this autograph and Jackson's as to which was my favourite new one for the binder, mainly because they both didn't have too many certified autographs available. Steve was a Special Teams beast for the Bills during the early 90s.
And that's a whole bunch of Bills cards.

Redeemed and Replaced (Kinda)
Getting back into things, and hitting the mailbag with a mailer from Panini.
Up first is this, which I received in a box break of 2012 Totally Certified. When it wasn't fulfilled right from the start, I assumed it was never made. I was half-right. It was made, but the video didn't work. Since I had this put aside for Wes @ Willinghammer Rising, I'd requested it be replaced with something Crimson Tide related. So, Wes will be getting the non-functional Richardson video player/card, along with these.
A Flawless card? That's well above what I expected. I hope to finally be able to get to a post office by mid-week to get these sent out, along with some other goodies.
Next up, this group break redemption:
I was sorta tempted to send the code to Dennis @ Too Many Manninghams just for the reaction when he entered it. Instead, I entered it, and requested something Bills-related.
This will do. He may have gone a bit off the sticker, but this is still a really nice addition with a new auto and relic of my favourite Bills alum. I love that Panini tends to help out with getting replacements that fit into your PC. Also, this is /15, so I'd think there might me more colours on the swatch, but I won't complain too much with the auto.
There you have it!

Playoffs?
The Buffalo Bills will have a playoff game today for the first time since the Clinton Presidency. Henceforth, let's see some Bills content from a half-case break of 2017 Panini Playoff.
I'll assume I did land the complete team base set here. There's the usual mix of active players, legends and rookies.
Only one parallel, but it is /49. I do like that it isn't a Rookie Premiere photo on this one, and they've used an in-game, albeit pre-season photo.
Inserts!
And one more! Sharp-eyed readers will note that this is the same photo as on the base card.
And a hit! My second autograph of Tre'Davious White joins my collection.
There you go! Done just in time for kick-off as well!
Edit: Yegads, Nathan Peterman is a Scott Norwood for the 10's.
