Showing Evidence

 There are plenty of football cards crossing the goal line for a touchdown, but not a lot where you have proof, in terms of an official's signature, that the TD was actually scored.

But here's a couple.

That Select of Cris Carter is just an exceptionally framed photo, with him mirroring the signal. 

I'm just not feeling too verbose today, so there you have it!

  1. Wow you are on to something - It is possible that the Eric Green card shows the first time ever a referee giving the touchdown signal on an individual player NFL Card.

    1. Took a little digging... but I found one a little older. The 1990 Pro Set card of Everson Walls (#767) has an official giving the touchdown signal. Walls was a CB... so I'm guessing it was after a pick-six.

      I haven't looked, but there's a chance that you can find another official doing the touchdown signal in one of those 80's Fleer In Action sets.
