Here's the baseball content from the bubblers!
This is the oddest of the bunch, a card from one of Kerry's Free Card Fridays. I just thought it would go nicely with the Northern Lights card out of 15-16 Champ's.
And I can place it in Principal Skinner's kitchen and he'd be none the wiser.
I've never seen Utz on this side of the border (or even heard of the company), so this food-issue DeGrom is a nice add to my Mets binders.
There were a lot more Mets stuff here (a theme for both envelopes, and both the Mets and Jays) but here's a scanner bed worth of them. I really should have replaced that McNeil with the Donruss "Polar Bear" variant. Thankfully for the Mets PC, that one was far more common than the Topps one.
For some reason, these Vlad Jr inserts were Target exclusives. I say "For some reason", since wouldn't these be a better exclusive for Walmart, which actually exists in Canada?
And here's your Jays sampler. The Ed-wing!
As with the Cards on Cards mailer, I'm starting the recap of the TMV envelope with the oddball. Does this Larry Walker go into my Expos PC? Or my Cancon PC? Or did I hose things up completely by not including it in my hockey recap?
Either way, we've got a pair of Hall of Famers meeting on this card.
It might not be a Diamond Kings card, but this Bonilla is close enough.
Here's a numbered salute to the '86 squad. Hernandez is great and all, but I might have used Series MVP Ray Knight instead. That's still a minor beef for a great card.
The TMV Mets Sampler.
And the Jays Sampler.
With a bonus of some swatches and slivers to go along with it.
That only leaves football! Next post!

Mailbag: One! Two! Three Complete Sets! Ah Ah Ah!
The mailbag finally re-opens after waiting for a trio of mailers to arrive.
Courtesy of a mailer from Dennis @ Too Many Manninghams, here's the final card from 2018 Optic.
From the same mailer, here's the final 8 cards from last year's Score football. That's been replaced on the wantlist with the only 2 cards I didn't get in my hobby box, retail or LCS build from this year's release.
The final set builder damage to my wantlist is this, although I'd already checked this one off when Dennis told me it would be in a future mailer.
In fact, with cards currently in my COMC inventory, I've finally finished the base set of Rookie Anthology.
That's 92 rookie/auto/relics out of 249 in hand/COMC, the Filip Forsberg that was actually /125 in hand, a redemption that never got fulfilled (JT Miller), 1 redemption that may or may not come through (Jonas Brodin), and another one:
that also may or may not come through (even though these did go live at one point). I saw a group break and bought the Blues slot specifically to chase this redemption, and BAM it came through. Whether it does or not, I'm still calling this set as complete as it can be.
Whew. It was worth the wait for this.

Mailbag Wrap-up
I started posting the most recent envelope from Dennis @ Too Many Verlanders before the 12 RA Boxes of Christmas. With that well in the past now, I might as well wrap it up. I posted all the 2/14 content before, now I'm just going to do the rest in the order that the scans upload.
Starting off with a Kitchener Rangers alum. With hockey hair like that, you knew this had to be a card from the 80s.
We have a quick move over to baseball and my Mets collection with this swatch from Michael Conforto.
And although this is not obvious from the front, this is another Kitchener Rangers alum card, with that being Connor Bunnaman. He made his NHL debut this season in the opener with the Flyers, and got a Young Guns card in the first series. This 1/1 plate goes back to the Genesis release from 15/16 Leaf.
Both of my main baseball player PCs, Carlos Delgado and David Wright, have been neglected over the past season. Here is to hopefully getting it back going again.
The late James Hardy provides an on-foil autograph. This is from the mouthful of a subset named "2008 Playoff Absolute Memorabilia Rookie Premiere Materials Embossed Hologram Team Logo Signatures". Whew.
2006 Mets and Jays miscellany!
Hologram Eric Moulds! YES!
For the first time in the post, two groups of scans go together with some CanCon basketball. What is that made Nash and Rubio such an intriguing pair? They were skilled ballhandlers. That's all.
A trio of cards of a Canadian player lead into some from a Canadian team. That Ultra base card of Vince Carter is a beaut.
Sure, this isn't a certified auto. Who's forging Ed Sprague autos?
I might as well throw a Sens card in here as well with all the other miscellany.
Ending on acetate.
And that's a coffey.jpg through watkins.jpg ending to a mailbag. I've sent a return fire package, and that might even be posted between the time I write this and the time this goes live.

Mailbag!
My second trip to the mailbag in a week! I'm getting efficient at this! This one arrived from Greg @ Night Owl Cards in the past week.
Set building is a good way to start off a post, and with this, a pair of cards dropped off that list. Last year's Optic had Justin Turner removed from it.
Joining it in the set binders is this SP from this year's Heritage High Numbers.
And here's a random addition to my 2/14 collection.
A Sportflics team card is a perfect way to segue over to the team portion of the mailer.
Here's a scanner bed of Expos that were in the set. There's a couple nice buybacks from '75 and an Andre Dawson gold parallel in the mix. But the big winner here, as can be expected from me, is the hologram. I miss those.
The Stadium Club I've busted this year stands at a super disappointing 'zero'. So, I didn't have a chance to pull cards of either Vlad. Such as this one.
I always love coming bat relics for pitchers. I really don't have a lot of relics in the ol' Expos binder - mainly autos, so these are nice little additions.
If I work horizontally, there was also a scanner bed worth of Mets. That might be one of Mookie's least flattering Mets cards.
More Stadium Club content in terms of parallels. PNC Park looks so nice in sepia.
Nothing too notable among the Blue Jays stuff, although that's going to be one of Marcus Stroman's last cards in Jays gear.
And there you have it! Thanks for these goodies, and I'll be scanning for Dodgers or you for a future mailer.

Mailbag!
Bo, from Baseball Cards Come to Life, recently came into possession of a bunch of hockey cards. I took advantage of it to send a few Yankees cards and set completers stateside, and in turn I added to my 2/14 collection.
I'll do this in order of # of cards added to the binder. In the 2005-06 season, there are more desired rookie cards than that of Eric Nystrom. Except by me.
I always love coming across cards that I probably should have already had in the collection.
This Pro Set of Calle Johansson falls into the same category.
No new Senators content for Sean Hill, but here's three more of his cards for the binder. There's the first parallel of the envelopes, with a Gold Rush accompanying a great look at the original Anaheim uniforms.
These 9 Milan Hejduk cards allow him to expand his lead in the collection, with 214 total appearances.
But he wasn't the big winner in the mailer. Perfect match Viktor Kozlov wins this war, as he vaults into 3rd place in hockey with 82 total cards, thanks to the 21 new cards of his sent my way.
These put the total at 20.
And this put the total at 21. It is the big card of the mailer, being a sapphire parallel to /100, and at the time, those were not easy pulls.
There you have it! When time the Expo comes around, I'll be sure to look for some vintage O-Pee-Chee at the show.

Mailbag Time!
Several packages have shown up over the past little while at Chez Buckstorecards, and I'll open the recap of these with some from Blogland.
But I'm going to start with a former blogger. I'm still shipping off my excess Bills, and Mets, and Celtics, and Rangers, to Mark, formerly of This Way to the Clubhouse. In return, I got an envelope with many of my team PCs hit. Here's a sweet patch of Jakob Poeltl, a former Raptor who moved on as part of the Kawhi trade.
The Bills of the early portion of this decade were questionable at best, but at least they were really solid at RB, with Spiller and Fred Jackson available. Bowman Sterling tended to be a very rookie-based product, but in 2013 they also had Stevie Johnson and CJ as available autos.
Senators content? But of course!
There was even some more specific Sens content with a pair of Daniel Alfredsson swatches for that PC.
There were even a couple more hits for the mask binder(s) collection. These were two of my favourites from the 00's, with the buggy Marc Denis card joined by Alex Auld, who frequently wrapped the team logo around his face.
And yes, there was Blue Jays content as well, in both unnumbered...
and numbered form.
The other mailer from a blogger was from someone still very active in the community. Crazie Joe provided a PWE that didn't even have to cross provincial borders. This also brought the Bills love, starting with this pair that put the Rookies in Rookies and Stars. So nice of them to use a photo of JP Losman where he looks baked out of his gourd.
If stars are more your thing, here's a trio of those. Bledsoe will likely be on his way to the 2/14 binder instead of the Bills one, though.
Best of all, here's a few cards dropping off the wantlist for my 09/10 setbuild of OPC hockey. I do wish they'd used retro colours for the border of the Sykora, though.
And there you have it! Thanks to Joe and Mark for the envelopes. Mailers are either on the way or will be shortly as a thank you!
