Baseball today from the 7-11 collection!
There's your opener. Just like Wrigley Ivy, the Green Monster being visible makes a base card better. There was a good number of horizontal cards in this one. That Hatteberg needed a little wider cropping, but it still wins the photo war here. That's Doug Glanville on the Heritage card. And these repacks have shown my one thing outside of hockey - if you see back-to-back cards from the same set, they're probably numerically also back-to-back. They are here, #689 & #690.More Heritage! If he doesn't have a bird on his shoulder, a 1991 Steve Lake card isn't of much interest to me. The Breslow does provide something you don't see a lot of on cards - a groundskeeper cameo.
There may not be logos, but at least Panini didn't scrimp on fabric on the hit. More Heritage! More Horizontal cards! One more flagship card to end it.
Quite the variety here, with only one set making multiple appearances. That's a really nice swatch on the hit, but I just like the Breslow since how many times do you see a groundskepper just wandering into the photo on a card?
There you have it!
I didn't really know from Logan Webb (at first I was confusing him with Brandon Webb), but apparently he was 11-3 with a 3.03 ERA last season, so he might end up being a really good pull.
ReplyDeleteLogan Webb is the Giants Opening Day starter. It'll be interesting to see if he can repeat his dominance on the mound this season.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad relic at all!
